The Concert Across America

End Gun Violence

On September 25th, 2016, the congressionally designated day of remembrance of murder victims, gun violence prevention organizations across the nation will participate in the Concert Across America to End Gun Violence.

We will remind our elected officials of the approximately 12,000 Americans who are murdered with a firearm each year, and the other 20,000 who die from gun suicides and unintentional shootings.

Through music, and through our large audiences across the nation, the #ConcertAcrossAmerica to #EndGunViolence will send a strong message to our elected officials that they must ACT to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.

In addition to our politicians, we too must take action with our votes on November 8th to support California's Safety for All Initiative.

The Safety for All Initiative (Proposition 63) is a ballot measure which would prohibit the possession of large-capacity ammunition magazines and would require most individuals to pass a background check and obtain authorization from the California Department of Justice to purchase ammunition.

All proceeds from the L.A. concert will support programs we offer in coalition with our partner organizations; Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley Brady chapters, GLAC, Violence Prevention Coalition of Greater L.A., and many interfaith organizations. Together, we are educating the public about gun safety, working on gun safety legislation, offering workshops and symposiums, and engaging the public in actions to help reduce gun violence.
